I applied for a job in an NGO called AfriCovid and they sent me an email informing me that i have been shortlisted.
In the email i was told i need a Psychometric Assessment Report (PAR) /Certificate approved and evaluated by accredited international invigilator/institution and they recommended some websites. But it seems I don’t have to use those websites.
They are very expensive. They charge between 50USD and 80 USD. I can’t afford this and i really need the job.

Please note that MOST credible institutions/employers DO NOT REQUIRE a Psychometric Assessment Report (PAR)/Certificate and when they do THEY WILL PAY FOR IT on your behalf. Any organisation demanding that you pay for one is most probably FRAUDULENT.
Please – DO NOT PAY for psychometric assessments from your own pocket as a job requirement.

I also got an email from Africovid with the same message. They recommend using 2 companies for their psychometric report – Elite International Consultancy or Neto Consult
I did my research and found that Africovid doesn’t even have an office in Tanzania and their email is signed Xaris McBenon. A very weird name that cannot be found anywhere on google search. Just on their websites. I found that to be very fishy. These people are indeed conmen. Africovid is a con. Avoid them at all costs!

Simply follow our guidelines (in comments above) to determine if an organisation is legitimate or not.

I received the same kind of email from LMFAR claiming that i was selected for the job but they recommended some agents for me to get a PAR test from in just one day. I decided to do a little research considering I’m in Tanzania and the recommended agents are not, only to find out that something is fishy with the job offer. They set up a Website very convincing, almost like it’s legit but i found this spelling mistake ” Helping Many Peple” in their company summary which is very unlikely for a company which wants to offer me $1000 – $2000 a month.
