At the beginning, I wasn’t sure about it due to my shyness.I wasn't confident in myself especially when it... read more came to speaking in public even when I had the right answers or solutions but as the sessions went on, I became more comfortable sharing my thoughts and engaging with people. I learnt a lot about myself, my style to begin with, my strengths, my weaknesses and motivators,how I relate with others among other amazing things.One of the biggest takeaways for me was that lack of vulnerability may shut opportunities so I am learning to be vulnerable. I also realized the importance of listening to understand, responding instead of reacting,being patient and understanding different perspectives. Overally, the experience helped me grow in many different ways; my confidence improved, how I interact with others changed and I become more intentional about my relationships with myself first then with the people around me.

A big shout out to Mentor Vicky and Cohort 2 at large.I had an amazing experience diving into Self Awareness, The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive... read more Team and Emotional Intelligence. 1.Self awareness I discovered my strength and weakness and how they impact my relationship and decisions.It was eye opening to realize how my emotions and thoughts drive my actions.I learnt to recognize my triggers and take control of my responses. 2.The 5 Behaviors of a Cohesive Team team ; This session was outstanding for me. The program emphasized on trust, conflict, commitment, accountability and results. I saw how these behaviors make or break a team.I reflected on my own team dynamics and identified areas of improvement. 3.Emotional Intelligence I learnt that this is a 'must have skill' I learnt to recognize and manage my emotions and empathize with others rather than judging them. It was powerful to understand how emotional intelligence can boost relationship and productivity. Otherwise the program was a game changer. I gained practical tools like the stress trigger and coping plan worksheet, Future Mapping Worksheet, just to mention but a few. This will help in improving my personal and professional relationships. I am excited to apply these skills and grow. Thank you so much for giving me the platform to learn, discover and experience.
